As a Healer, who often holds sacred space for others (selflessly), it is so very important that I (we) take the time to nurture, love and pour into Self. As well as be poured into, onto. Away from our children, our mates, away from an over stimulating society that induces stress, fear, and low level energies (the D word so many identify with). To go to simply connect, to BE. To clear. To recharge and deprogram. To remember our natural state of peace, harmony and love. To be replenished. For retreat and ritual.
Yesteday I emerged from a Powerful weekend of healing, relaxation, and Full Moon Rituals in the Atlantic Ocean in Florida. I received an abundance of warm kisses from our Sun. From the Crown of my head to the soles of me feet. I surrendered to the ocean and allowed her to cleanse, anoint and purify me. She even gave me a gift of cowrie. Humbly blessed by the light and powers of Mother Moon. She bestows her divine feminine wisdom upon me and blessed my hands, cupped and cleansed with the holy wata that contains the blood and DNA memory of my ancestors. She touched my womb. I listened as the wind spoke to me from lands far and wide. I spoke affirmations, I laid burdens down, I declared things. I even petitioned on behalf of women I know. For their wombs and homes to be filled with the pitter patter of tiny, sweet feet. Their breasts abundant with milk. I enjoyed friends, exotic animals, hearty laughter and the rich, tantalizing herbs and spices of authentic Indian cuisine. I even exfoliated my melanated skin with sand and created a magical Yoni with my hands and from sea shells that lay adorning the shore.
Being a healer doesn’t change with trends. It is a way of being. Those of us who use our hands and hearts to heal, those of us who stand at the gates of life and death, who cultivate the soil and prepare sacred foods, medicines and elixirs. The Alchemists. We have a certain responsibility. What is our responsibility you ask? To be our authentic selves. To heal self and do our inner and outer works. To do what it is we are asking of others. To take our own advice and counsel. To listening to our intuition. To address our egoic selves. To say No! To forgive. To let go when it’s time to let go. To keep our vibrations high by any means necessary. And most importantly to be a positive, clear vessel of light, wisdom and divine, healing energy to all we encounter on our paths.
Happy Full Moon Blessings!
